July 4, 2025
We’re already halfway through 2025, and at 9to5 we’re proud to look back at everything we’ve accomplished in the first half of the year. Here’s a rundown of all our highlights and progress so far.
ParkMyBike
We made the biggest leaps with ParkMyBike. The highlight? Our expansion into the UK! We didn’t just launch in one city, but twelve new locations, including Bristol, Shrewsbury, and Yate.
To support these expansions, we partnered with Falco UK and Epsilon Cities, major players in the bike parking sector, and welcomed 400 new cyclists to our app. We also attended the Public Space Expo in Belgium and the Velo-City Conference in Gdansk.
Meanwhile, we’ve improved our platform with new features like subscriptions, Mollie Connect, BLE controllers, live activity notifications, French language support, and even a demo locker for, you guessed it, demonstrations.
nummi
We also gave nummi a major upgrade over the past few months, especially on Android. Besides a fresh new look, we developed a responsive game board that automatically adjusts to any screen. No more zooming in or losing track of tiles!
We also added the new nummi Grandma bot, so you can now play against a smart opponent anytime you like. Perfect for practice or casual games without waiting on others.
These changes are currently only live in our Android app, but the iOS update is coming in the second half of the year. Something to look forward to!
OmgevingsAlert
We kicked off the year with great news for OmgevingsAlert: both the Android and iOS apps officially achieved accessibility level A! The app is now fully accessible to everyone, including people with visual impairments.
We’re also working on making OmgevingsAlert even more valuable for residents. Right now, we’re adding new categories of public notices to the app, like police updates. More on that soon, so be sure to follow us on LinkedIn!
And then our clients
Besides working on our own products, we’ve also been busy supporting our clients. One key aspect of that is maintenance, like fixing bugs, updating dependencies, and cleaning up libraries to keep everything running at top quality.
One of the clients that we welcomed in the first half was GeoCapital! For them, we’re building a data processing tool to help provide smart insights for the real estate sector. Our backend team has gathered data from various sources and processed it in a way that makes it easy to visualize within an interactive platform.
We’ve also worked on improvements for 24baby. The biggest project was upgrading their in-app ad campaigns, allowing ads to show up in every type of feed card. We also built a new “courses” tool, launched a welcome newsletter, improved the site’s SEO, upgraded everything from Nuxt 2 to Nuxt 3, and enhanced push notifications to support images.
Here’s to the second half of 2025!
We’ve already achieved so much in the first half of 2025, but there’s still plenty more to come. Follow us on LinkedIn to be the first to hear about all the new developments!
